Week 52: Celebrations

Cindy-Peoria:  We celebrated Christmas in Iceland.  What a perfect way
to finish out 2013.

Week 51: Sky

Week 50: Christmas Traditions

Cindy-Peoria:  We broke tradition this year and had our gift exchange 11
days early since we are going to be in Iceland at Christmas.

Week 49: Clothing

Cindy-Peoria:  We had to wear our warm Winter clothing today to attend
the Holiday Laser Light show.  Cold and snowy today...brrrr...

Week 48: Macro Anything

Week 47: Colors

Cindy - Peoria:  Our community has really shown it's true colors this week.
There has been such a huge outpouring of support for those communities
that were devastated by the tornadoes last Sunday.  In this photo, Boy Scout
Troop 165 is sorting food, clothing, blankets, and other supplies at one of the
dozens of donation centers.  The response has been so great that the donation
organizers have had to ask the community to start giving their donations
to other needy organizations.  It is so heartwarming to live in such a generous
and caring community.

Week 46: A Day in the Life

Cindy-Peoria:  I was so glad that I was able to get these photos of my boys
before the tornado sirens started going off and the torrential ran hit.

Cindy-Peoria:  Thankfully, we are safe, but a neighboring
town had substantial damage where a tornado struck.  Our thoughts
and prayers go out to the communities of Pekin and Washington, IL.

Week 45: Leaves

Cindy Dietz - Peoria:  Earlier this week, the leaves were absolutely stunning.
Autumn here is so beautiful!

Week 44: All Hallow’s Eve

Cindy-Peoria - Our Halloween Jack-o-Lanterns.  Alex carved the one on the
right inspired by a pixelated, Minecraft character.  I think he did a great job!

Week 43: Water

Cindy-Peoria:  As the sun was setting tonight, the water at the marina
was such a beautiful color.

Week 42: At Home

Cindy-Peoria:  So proud of Alex.  Ever since he found
out he made first chair for Tenor Sax at the ILMEA
Honors Band, he has been practicing non-stop.

Week 41: Autumn

Cindy-Peoria:  Due to perfect weather, Autumn has been delayed.  We
only have a few trees beginning to turn color, otherwise, they're still
mostly green.  But I can deal, because the temperatures have been so nice.

Week 40: Fire

Cindy-Peoria:  Don't tell the kids I'm playing with fire.

Week 39: Books

Cindy-Peoria:  I love books.

Week 38: Job (Work)

Cindy-Peoria:  Eric has been working hard all summer prepping for
the college entrance exam.  He is so happy to have it over with today!

Week 37: Relationships

Cindy-Peoria:  My brother and his family took us out to lunch to
celebrate my husband, Greg's, birthday.  The Chinese restaurant brought out
this neat candle that played the happy birthday song....

Week 36: Sports

Cindy-Peoria:  Rooting for the Chicago Fire Soccer Team....  Well
everyone else was cheering.  I was trying to avoid dying of boredom... :)

Week 35: Industrial

Cindy-Peoria:  This sculpture in Millennium Park in Chicago is called,
"Cloud Gate", but it looks like an industrial-sized bean. :)

Week 34: Music

Cindy-Peoria:  Alex is looking forward to Jazz Band starting up again at school.

Week 33: Games

Cindy-Peoria:  Nothing better to beat the heat than to
play games in the water  on a summer afternoon.
