Week 12 - Peace & Tranquility

Nadia - Phoenix: This tranquil waterfall is one minute away from my house, and it took me 3 years to capture it.

Melinda - Buenos Aires: A friends backyard ... very peaceful!

Cindy-Peoria: Our weekend was the opposite of peace and tranquility as
we cheered on our high school team at the FIRST Robotics Regional
Competition in Milwaukee, WI.

Simone-NYC: I felt like I had all of Central Park to myself
on a recent snowy morning

Jennifer - Toronto: I enjoyed taking a break from work to listen to my
son's class sing about the PEACE of the Easter season.

Tatiana - Prague: Nothing like a good nap in the car to bring "tranquility" after ears pierced...

I am happy to be participating in Project Exposure for a third year. I love this project, not only because it provides the opportunity to improve my photography skills through practice, practice, practice. What I love most is the inspiration I receive from the creativity and talent of my co-conspirators and the ability to capture a glimpse of life from their corner of the globe. Most importantly, this project keeps me motivated to capture our busy life here in Illinois of our family of four - my amazing husband of 21 years and two incredible boys, ages 12 and 16 that make me so proud to be their Mom.

I like exploring new places, different foods, reading, and I run frequently as a form of stress relief. Visiting family and connecting with friends is always a priority. Meeting and getting to know people is a simple joy for me. I have lived in Costa Rica for the last 2 years, and the brilliant & clear mornings here are the best start to everyday. This country is beautiful! I am from Trinidad, but I have spent the second half of my life to date living outside of Trinidad (U.S.A., Jamaica, Costa Rica). Hope I can share some good pics on here...

Born in Australia, raised in Miami and now a very happy New Yorker!

I'm a Mom of two beautiful children who are very photogenic but not always the most willing subjects. I love taking photos of this amazing and energetic city where I believe there is beauty in everything I see. I can't imagine living anywhere else! Photos are mainly taken with my iPhone 4 but also starting to use my Nikon more and more. Most of my love of photography comes from learning from my talented graphic designer friends who have an amazing eye. Glad to be a part of Project Exposure 2013 and looking forward to another eventful year!

Tatiana (Prague - Czech Republic)

Originally from Lima, Peru. Lived in the US and Mexico all together for almost 10 years and now living and enjoying Prague with my Czech hubby, my almost 3 years old daughter and the second baby girl already about to crawl. I keep my self busy coordinating a photo club and doing lots of activities with the international community. Photography has become part of my life for so long that I feel it has always been with me. I am lucky to have a family that enjoys traveling and posing for my camera and still have the patience to let me take as many pictures as I want. My husband encourages me to be and do more always and This is my third year and to go back brings lots of memories. Looking forward to a new year of weekly posts!
